Taken in Monroe, Connecticut
Blue Jays reside here in Connecticut year-round. They feed on insects, carrion, seeds, fruit and buts. They are attracted to bird feeders. They are known for their loud screams when intruders enter the forest/woods. They will also use their scream to scatter other bird species from feeders. They are also know to eat eggs or young birds from the nests of other birds. The male and female are both a large bright light blue and white bird with a black necklace. They have black spots and white tips on their blue tail. The Blue Jay is a beautiful blue bird.
