Product Details

Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The Ospreys Home - Original Photography by Karol Livote

Fayerweather Island Lighthouse a/k/a Black Rock Harbor Lighthouse, Seaside Park, Bridgeport, Connecticut This lighthouse was recently painted. Every year the Osprey builds their nest on the top of it.

Black Rock Harbor, with its deep port sheltered by Fayerweather Island, was a developing shipping center in the 18th century, and it seemed only natural to build a lighthouse on the island to guide ships into the harbor.
The first Fayerweather Island Lighthouse, a 40-foot octagonal wooden tower, was built in 1808 on a 9 acre tract of land purchased from David Fayerweather the previous year for $200. It was only the second site to be purchased for the purpose of a lighthouse on Western Long Island Sound. Karol's story is quite simple: When she was about ten years old, her sister gave her the first camera she would ever use. She took right to photography and could be found capturing burned out buildings, old boats and whatever else she could find. In her high school days, she was hardly seen without a camera in her hand. She participated in photography classes and had her own home darkroom. At that time, most of Karol's work consisted of capturing the essence of a person.
