House Sparrow-Very common bird to the Connecticut area and many areas. Was first introduced in 1850 to Central Park, NYC from Europe. Actually not a true sparrow, but from the Weaver Finch family. A popular city bird that is usually in flocks. Feeds on insects, seeds, fruit and will come to feeders. Average size is about 6 inches.
This was taken at Milford boat ramp in Milford, Connecticut.
