The Mexican Wolf, also known as the Mexican Gray Wolf is actually the smallest subspecies of gray wolves. The color of their fur is a mixture of gray, cream, black and rust colors. They can travel approximately 30 miles a day at a trotting pace at about 5 MPH. In cases where they need to sprint, they can go about 35 MPH. They are found in the wild in Arizona and New Mexico. They live in the wild for about 8 years and in captivity that doubles to about 16 years. They are an endangered species. They feed on rabbits, deer and elk. Their weight can be between 60-90. They are a pack animal.
